Major repairs and modernization of the blowing head mechanism at the Bunkovsky Experimental Glass Factory.

A major overhaul and modernization of the blow head mechanism has been carried out. The main pneumatic cylinder body was reworked across all mating surfaces, including channel cleaning and the replacement of valves and seals.
The new upgraded guides—manufactured from a high-strength, tin-free copper-based alloy with aluminum and iron additives—are equipped with more durable seals made of a specialized polymer material. The number of guides was reduced from 5 to 3, allowing for tighter clearances while maintaining the same total contact surface area, which increases durability.
A new piston rod and swivel knuckle were fabricated from high-alloy steel.

As a result of the overhaul and modernization, the following was achieved:

-The service life of the unit has been extended without compromising quality;

-Operating pressure has been reduced to 0.45 bar;

-Operational speed and precision have been increased.

The upgraded blow head mechanism now demonstrates more stable performance across the glass-forming sections.
