Major repairs with a deep modernization of the press head mechanism A223-D-230GR1L at the Bunkovsky Experimental Glass Factory.

A major overhaul and deep modernization of the press head mechanism has been carried out. The main pneumatic cylinder body was reworked across all mating surfaces, including channel cleaning and the replacement of valves and seals.
The new guides are manufactured from a high-strength, tin-free copper-based alloy with aluminum and iron additives.
A new piston rod was fabricated, and a high-alloy steel sleeve was added. The rod and piston seals are made of a specialized polymer material capable of withstanding high operating temperatures.

As a result of the modernization, the following was achieved:

-Improved maintainability of the unit;

-Operating pressure reduced to 0.45 bar;

-Increased operational speed and precision.

The upgraded press head mechanism now demonstrates smoother and more stable performance across the glass-forming sections. The introduction of an easily replaceable, maintainable piston system ensures the rapid replacement of worn parts.
